About

Tim is a 26-year-old human male with a penchant for art, design, and spirited discussion. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Games Technology, and has won a number of awards for his work in both the video game and artistic fields. He likes the sound of his own voice and the look of his own words, and fortunately other people seem to agree (or at least are polite enough not to say anything).

Having spent his entire primary, secondary and tertiary schoolings preparing himself for his childhood dream of a job making video games, he was overjoyed when he managed to land the position of World Designer at a Perth-based video game startup, working on a AAA Football MMO. Unfortunately as sometimes happens, dreams aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. The company collapsed, taking with it the hopes, careers, and unpaid wages of himself and over a hundred other employees across the globe.

Now he spends his time speaking to developers, reviewing games, and generally making terrible jokes in his position as staff writer for games.on.net, as well as a number of other online and print publications. Somehow in between all of this, he finds the time to work as a freelance web designer and illustrator.

When not working, Tim likes to sketch, read, pretend to be a wizard in tabletop roleplaying games, and write about himself in the third person. He currently resides in Perth, Western Australia with his wonderful wife Jess and their pair of adorably stupid dogs.

You should follow Tim on Twitter (warning: he swears a lot) and connect with him on LinkedIn. Unfortunately he is not on Facebook, a fact for which he does not apologise.
