Refried

Back in August of 2005, I started my very own webcomic, by the name of Refried. It mostly focused around video game jokes and/or anecdotes of things that happened to me or my friends and family, and was moderately successful. At its high point, I was getting around 10,000 unique hits per day, and was offered a number of advertising options with companies who rented adspace (before the days of Project Wonderful!).

Although I initially managed to update once a week, as work, university and general life pressures increased, updates dwindled to a trickle and then eventually a halt. The comics ended at number 67, and the archive remains online for enthusiastic viewers to peruse.

In September of 2009 an entirely unexpected thing happened, and Bennett Ring, editor in chief of games.on.net, asked me to begin working on a weekly Refried comic for his website. As of this writing, the Refried comics on the site enjoy consistently high ratings and regular comments from the community, with an archive of over 70 available.

What is this?

Part portfolio, part blog, part sketchdump, this is the online archive of Tim Colwill and his various projects. Here you'll find website designs, logos, concept art, games journalism, and much much more.
